Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 8-10 grape tomatoes, chopped
  • 1½ tbls. chopped fresh chives
  • 1 tbls. Gustare Pink Grapefruit Balsamic Vinegar
  • big pinch of Gustare Fleur de Sel
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 slices marbled pumpernickel-rye bread
  • 2 tbls. Gustare Pepperoncino Garlic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Directions

In a medium bowl, mash avocado with a fork, leaving some chunky bits for texture. Fold in tomatoes, chives, balsamic, salt and pepper.

Toast bread in a toaster to desired doneness.

Brush each slice with a tablespoon of olive oil. (If using a broiler, brush bread with olive oil before broiling.)

Top each slice with avocado mixture. Finish with a little freshly ground black pepper. Enjoy!

Notes

Optional:

Top avocado toast with a fried egg, crumbled bacon, a few paper-thinly sliced radishes or your favorite micro greens.
