Watermelon Rosé Granita
Ingredients
- 4 oz Gustare Watermelon Rosé Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 small seedless watermelon for 4 cups of watermelon pulp (save a few slices to make a little wedge for garnish on the rim of the glass/dish)
- 1 cup water
- 2 limes; zest of 1 and juice of 2
- 1 tsp. minced fresh mint
- Chilled dessert dishes or martini glasses
Directions
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl and pour into an 8-inch glass pan. Cover with wrap to freeze until mixture begins to set, about 30 minutes. Uncover and rake a fork over the surface to begin loosening ice crystals – first one way and then the other. Return to the freezer. Continue raking the surface every 30 minutes until the mixture is a fluffy, frozen granita.
Spoon granita into chilled dishes and garnish with a tiny wedge of watermelon on the rim of the glass. Enjoy!
Recipe Note
Granita can be made ahead, wrapped and kept frozen for a few days.
